Things to Know

Frequently Asked Questions

What is a joiner tour?

  • A joiner tour means you will share the boat with other guests. It is a more affordable option than chartering a private boat.

Where does the tour start?

  • The tour starts at the designated jump-off point / port in Mactan. The exact meeting location, time, and instructions will be indicated in your Tour Voucher after booking.

What is the difference between Meet-Up Only and With Round-Trip Hotel Transfers?

  • For Meet-Up Only, you make your own way to and from the port. The With Round-Trip Hotel Transfers option includes pick-up and drop-off within the covered Mactan resort area.

If I choose Meet-Up Only, how can I get to the port?

  • You may take a taxi, Grab, or similar transport service to the jump-off point. Going to the port is generally straightforward, but please allow enough travel time.
  • For the return trip, take note that it may take longer to get a taxi or Grab going back toward Cebu City, especially during rush hour or busy periods.

What time does the Mactan Cebu Sunset Cruise via outrigger boat start and end?

  • Meet-up is usually around 2:40 PM, with boat departure at 3:00 PM. The boat normally returns to the port at around 6 PM. Guests with hotel transfers may be picked up around one hour earlier and dropped off around one hour after the boat returns.

Do I need to know how to swim?

  • No. Swimming is not required to join the tour. Guests who wish to snorkel should be comfortable in the water and follow the crew’s safety instructions. If you prefer not to swim, you may simply relax onboard the boat and enjoy the scenery.

Is the itinerary guaranteed?

  • The itinerary is a sample and may change depending on weather, sea conditions, tides, local regulations, and operational requirements.

What should I bring?

  • We recommend bringing swimwear, sun protection, a change of clothes, dry bag or waterproof protection for your phone or valuables.

What happens if the weather is bad?

  • For safety reasons, the tour may be adjusted, postponed, or cancelled if sea or weather conditions are unsuitable. Any changes will depend on the operator’s assessment and local conditions.
