How long is the travel time from Cebu City to Oslob?

Travel time is approximately 3–3.5 hours each way from Cebu City or Mactan, depending on traffic.

Can I combine Oslob whale shark watching with canyoneering?

Yes! You can choose the Oslob Whale Shark + Canyoneering Combo Tour, which includes a transfer to Badian for the Kawasan Falls canyoneering adventure after your whale shark activity.

What should I know about the Kawasan Canyoneering Add-on?

If you choose the Canyoneering Add-on, please note:

The visit to Sumilon Sandbar will not be included due to limited time. Tumalog Falls may be included only if open at the time of your tour.
Guests must be physically fit and are prohibited from consuming alcohol the day before the activity. A participation waiver must be signed prior to joining the tour.
The activity involves jumping, climbing, and swimming in varying water depths.

What should I bring for the Oslob tour?

Bring: Swimwear and towel, Extra clothes, A waterproof bag for valuables or phone case, Reef-safe sunscreen (for Sumilon, note that sunscreen is not allowed at the whale shark area), Government-issued ID

Do I need to know how to swim?

No — life vests are provided, and the whale shark encounter can be done from the boat for non-swimmers. A guide will always assist during the activity for safety.

Is it safe to swim with whale sharks?

Yes — the Oslob whale shark encounter is supervised by local guides and local marine wardens. Guests are briefed before entering the water and must maintain a minimum 5-meter distance from the whale sharks. Touching or feeding them is strictly prohibited.

When is the best time to visit Oslob?

The whale shark activity runs year-round, but the best weather is typically December to May. Tours still operate during the rainy months as long as there are no Philippine Coast Guard advisories.

Are whale shark sightings guaranteed?

While sightings are typically successful around 95% of the time, these are wild animals, so encounters cannot be guaranteed. On rare occasions, whale shark watching may be suspended due to low activity, unsafe sea conditions, or extreme heat. Pick-up is set early for better viewing chances. In the event of a no-sighting, a partial refund will be provided.

What should I know about Tumalog Waterfalls?

Tumalog Falls requires navigating a steep road, and guests will take a short motorbike ride (back-ride) to reach the site. This portion may not be suitable for individuals with mobility limitations. In the event that Tumalog is temporarily closed by local authorities, alternate scenic stops may be arranged.

How early should I book?

We recommend booking as early as possible. Cut-off time for booking is 48 hours in advance to guarantee seats and driver availability.
Provide the lead guest’s name, and the full names and ages of all passengers to prepare the passenger manifest, as required by the Philippine Coast Guard.
