Things to Know

Are these Chongqing tour packages shared or private?

  • All Chongqing tour packages on this page are shared group tours with compulsory shopping stops,
as arranged by the official tour operator. Shopping visits are part of the itinerary and help keep package prices
    affordable.
  • Non-shopping private tours may be arranged upon request for groups of at least 10 persons.
Rates and inclusions will vary and are subject to availability.

What is the best time to visit Chongqing and the Yangtze River?

  • Chongqing tours operate year-round, but the most popular travel months are March to May and
September to November, when temperatures are milder. Spring departures in 2026
are especially popular due to seasonal scenery and river conditions.

How does the Yangtze River cruise work?

  • Yangtze River cruises included in Chongqing itineraries are typically 3–4 nights and operate
between Chongqing, Yichang, or Wuhan, depending on the route. Cruise cabins, meals, and guided shore excursions
are included, while optional excursions are paid separately on-site.

Is the Wuhan (Three Gorges) tour different from Chongqing-based cruises?

  • Yes. While Chongqing is the most common starting point for Yangtze cruises, the Wuhan (Three Gorges) 6D5N Tour is a special itinerary focused on spring scenery and cherry blossom season. This route includes Wuhan, Yichang, and the Three Gorges area before returning to Manila.

What documents are required for these tours?

  • Philippine passport holders traveling on these Chongqing tours are covered under a China Group Visa. Personal appearance is not required. Passport validity must be at least 6 months from the travel date.

Are flight schedules and itineraries guaranteed?

  • Flight schedules, hotel assignments, and cruise routes are subject to airline and supplier confirmation.
Final details are released once the group visa is approved and full payment is received.

Are meals included?

  • Yes. Meals are included as indicated in each itinerary (B/L/D). Free time meals are at the guest’s own expense.

Is travel insurance included?

  • Travel insurance is not included. Guests are encouraged to secure their own coverage before departure.

Are tips mandatory?

  • Driver and guide tips are collected on tour as part of standard group travel arrangements and are indicated
in the exclusions section of each package.

What is the visa requirement for PH passport holders?

  • Philippine passport holders will apply under a China group visa, requiring only a scanned passport and ID photo. No personal appearance is required, subject to approval of submitted documents.
